The Kern River Valley

California's Kern River Valley has a tremendous amount to offer. White water rafting, world class kayaking, fly fishing, paddle boarding, mountain biking, climbing, hiking and more. Nestled in the South Sierra Nevada, bordered by the Piute Mountain Range to the south and the Greenhorn Mountains to the west, the Kern River Valley is home to 4 of 5 of California's bio-regions. The Wild and Scenic Kern River runs through the middle of Kernville, and we’re also 40 minutes from the Trail of 100 Giants, a stand of ancient Sequoia Trees, 25 minutes from Alta Sierra Ski Lodge, and 10 minutes from Lake Isabella. Then there's our national, multi award winning Kern River Brewing Company, which is an attraction in itself.
